Can you sleep on a couch?
No, but you can convert your bedroom into a bed.
According to Recode, if you have a sofa that fits comfortably on a mattress or is in the middle of a bed, you can turn it into a sleeping area.
The new feature is a free add-on to the Echo Spot Alexa device.
It adds a “sleep zone” button to the device that can be used to create a “sleeping area” for your sofa or bed.
You can set the area to be set to a flat, a chair, or a sofa, which will then automatically convert it into an “apartment” or “bedroom” space.
Once you have the “sleep” feature set up, you just need to place it in the Echo and say “Alexa, wake up.”
From there, you will be able to turn the Echo into a sleep zone by saying “Alexas wake up,” then saying “Sleep zone.”
The app then automatically takes care of converting your sofa to a “bed,” and you can even set a timer to wake you up.
If you want to sleep on the couch yourself, the app is also a good way to do so.
You just need the Echo to say “wake up” and then say “Sleep Zone.”
We’ll let you know when this new sleep feature is live on the Echo App Store.
